Nikur Mody, along with Sam Matangi, serve BSM as Co-Chief Technology Officers (CTO) in which both are charged with BSM’s technical strategy and research. Mody’s further role at BSM is to provide on-site leadership and resource allocation for BSM’s technology research, database architecture/design, software development, testing, and maintenance teams located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. In this capacity, Mody sets the overall work effort, directs technology usage, and oversees BSM’s project managers. In addition to the many professionals experienced in BSM’s development, Mody determines the need for integrating specialized technology skills for specific functional development.
Mody is the founding member of Sarjen Systems Pvt. Ltd. (Sarjen), a Business Technology company with clients in the US, Canada, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, New Zealand, and Australia. Sarjen, over the past 10 years, has worked in various industries creating targeted technology solutions with special emphasis in Internet-based delivery systems, pharmaceuticals/life sciences, financial management, sales/distribution, and supply chain management.
Mody and Kirk Loury, WPC’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer, began working together in 2007 in building an extensive knowledge base and business requirements expertise in the US’s financial planning and investment advisory industry. As a consequence, BSM’s entire development team has detailed understanding of financial planning, investment analysis, portfolio building, and performance/risk analysis indicative of high-level, US-based financial planners, investment advisors, and portfolio strategists.
At Sarjen, Mody and his team produced innovative techniques to marry technology and business needs. This linkage is more than a simple business analysis function, but it entails the advancement in work flows and knowledge integration made possible by the wide array of Internet-based and mobile technologies. The result is a far more productive, insightful, and competitive product or service offering. Loury’s in-depth involvement with Sarjen has launched this methodology into demonstrated and advanced features, functions, and tools embodied in BSM.
Prior to BSM and Sarjen, Mody worked for L&T Information Technology Limited in strategic planning in which he engaged his technology and engineering skills to solve significant corporate challenges. During this time, he acquired hands-on expertise in what is known today as Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPO). (A KPO provider uses advanced technology to deliver service and support resources to companies cost effectively; these resources may exist in locations far from the host company.)
Mody worked at Mastek and developed a project costing and profitability analysis system.
These varied experiences led Mody to form Sarjen to develop a sales, distribution, and inventory management system that has since become a major Customer Relationship Management (CRM) force in the domestic Indian pharmaceutical industry.
Mody received his bachelors degree in engineering with a concentration in computer technology as well as an MBA in finance from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Mumbai, India.
